The Gospel, God's Good News
God is holy, just and perfect. Unfortunately, man is not and there is nothing we can do ourselves to measure up to God's standards. So, our relationship with God is broken.
The Good News is that God has made a way to restore fellowship with the human race, one heart at a time. God's plan of redemption can be summarized in 6 short verses from the Bible, each represented by a simple colored bead on a bracelet.
Black
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23
Good deeds can't make up for breaking God's moral law.
Red
While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
Jesus died on a cross to make a way for us back to God.
White
Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Psalms 51:7
If we believe this God forgives us of all our sins.
Blue
So those who received his word were baptized Acts 2:41
Baptism symbolizes washing away of sins and a new life.
Green
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 3:18
We strive to grow to be more like Christ each day.
Yellow
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life John 3:16
We are saved from judgement after death and will spend eternity with Christ in heaven.
