Faith Bible Fellowship exists to glorify God by fulfilling the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19-20. We emphasize sound Biblical preaching and teaching, discipleship for all believers in Jesus Christ, and sharing the Good News with the world, starting with our community.
Our History
While studying in Dallas, Texas, Chris Bunn felt a growing desire to return to his hometown of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, to establish a church where Bible teaching would be paramount. After an internship in Oak Ridge, he and his wife Robin started a Bible study in their home in 1988, which resulted in the founding of Faith Bible Fellowship in partnership with the Evangelical Free Church of America. The growing church leased storefront worship facilities for two years, until in 1990 God graciously provided enough funds to purchase the present building on Iroquois Road.
Pastor Chris was faithful to his original desire to provide sound biblical teaching, along with a strong emphasis on discipleship and missions, up until he went to be with the Lord in 2019. Missionaries supported by Faith Bible Fellowship have mostly been local believers with whom the church maintained a lifelong partnership.
The church and it's youth have participated in mission trips to Mexico, New Orleans, and Croatia. Recent years have seen God’s blessing on additional outreach efforts such as Prison Fellowship’s Angel Tree program, Operation Christmas Child, and an annual presence at Fourth of July Celebrations in Oak Ridge.
Our Family
Our members come from a wide variety of church backgrounds as well as those who did not grow up in any church at all. What brings us together is a shared desire to grow and serve as part of a family of believers who love the Lord, agree on the main tenants of the Christian faith as expressed by our Statement of Faith, and have a desire to reach others for Christ as we live our lives before them.
