Recognizing
that the Bible is the very Word of God to mankind, and understanding the
priority of knowing and obeying it's truths, we are deeply committed to
studying and teaching the Scriptures with diligence and clarity.
The content on this page represents our convictions regarding
theological truths of the Bible. These are the primary doctrines of the
Christian faith and they reflect the heart of the teaching at Faith
Bible Fellowship. Though as a congregation we are characterized by
diversity in age and background, it is the truths from which these
confessions are drawn that afford us unity of faith.
We Confess
. . .
-
That
the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament are the verbally
inspired Word of God, inerrant in the original writings, and the
only infallible rule of faith and practice.
-
That
there is one God, creator and sustainer of the universe, who
eternally exists in three co-equal persons, the Trinity: Father,
Son, and Holy Spirit.
-
Our
belief in the Lord Jesus Christ, who being fully God became fully
man, being conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of a virgin.
-
Our
belief in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, who
glorifies Christ, convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and
judgment, and equips and empowers believers for a life of holiness
and fruitful service.
-
That
mankind was created in the image of God, that in Adam all sinned and
are guilty before God, that all human beings are born with a sinful
nature, and as a result, not only suffer the consequences of the
fall, but are under the condemnation of God.
-
That
the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures
as a representative and subsitutionary sacrifice, and that all who
believe in Him alone for salvation are justified on the basis of His
shed blood.
-
Our
belief in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, His
ascension into heaven, and His present ministry as High Priest and
Advocate on our behalf.
-
Our
belief in the blessed hope, which is the personal, visible, and
imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
-
That
all who repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as their
personal Savior are delivered from the judgment of God, are born
again by the Holy Spirit, and thereby become children of God and
heirs of eternal life.
-
Our
belief in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the
everlasting conscious suffering of the lost in hell, and the
everlasting blessedness of believers in the presence of Christ.
-
Our
belief in the existence of a personal devil, who is still working in
the world to destroy the souls of men, and that he and all his
angels will suffer eternal punishment in the lake of fire, along
with all who do not receive Jesus Christ as their Savior.
-
That
the Church, the Body of Christ, exists to glorify God as it fulfills
Christ's mission to make disciples of all nations and equip them for
meaningful ministry, spiritual duplication, and dynamic Christian
witness.
-
That
the ordinances of the Church, given by our Lord, are Baptism and
Communion.
-
That
the foregoing confessions represent the core of Christian doctrine;
therefore we stand firm upon this Confession of Faith.

We are a community of believers who
seek to glorify God as we assemble ourselves for the purposes of worship, discipleship,
fellowship, and prayer; so that we may grow in our relationship with
God, provide encouragement and care for one another, and in turn,
provide a credible witness of Jesus Christ in the world. |
